Cicada Original Lino Print

A hand carved and printed original linocut print of a cicada.

Is there any creature more mysterious and strangely beautiful than the cicada? They are like works of art in themselves, with their striking marks and bold colours.

Printed on mulberry paper with green, fibrous inclusions (see photo) using professional quality Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Oil-Based Ink.

Due to the process and nature of linocut printing, there will be slight variations from one print to the next (eg., lighter areas, different alignment). This is part of the originality of your artwork, and lends it a uniqueness that makes it special. 

This print comes unframed. Your print will be mailed in a rigid cardboard mailer with a backing board which can be re-used or recycled and protected from moisture with a cello bag.
